Maxime had been a mechanic for years before he decided to take on ultra-cycling just for the fun of it. His competitive side soon came out though as he raced some of the biggest ultra races in Europe with great success – like finishing fourth in the Bikingman Corsica 2022 and fifth position in the TransPyrénées the same year. He still claims that both were lots of fun!

He enjoys coffee, as every cyclist does - but Maxime has his own brand, so he can never complain about the taste! If it wasn't obvious, Maxime is in love with the Basque Country and the Pyrénées, where he spends most of his time! Cycling for days without sleeping sure is time consuming, but he still manages to help GCN's fans learn about fixing their bikes, racing, and much more besides.
