Australian brands Bont and Cycology have teamed up to create shoes inspired by The Beatles

The Beatles are one of the most popular music bands in history with fans around the world, including in Australia where Cycology has teamed up with Bont to release a new range of Vaypor 8 Day shoes inspired by the British band’s songs.

Rather than a brand new shoe, Cycology has taken Bont’s existing Vaypor 2023 kicks and given them a graffiti-style makeover in homage to the band. They are an extension to Cycology’s existing 8 Days collection which is home to a range of clothing and accessories, including jerseys, bib shorts, caps and bike bags.

The collection’s name comes from The Beatles’ ‘Eight Days a Week’ song and Cycology says that inspiration for the new shoes, and other items within the range, “came from listening to the Beatles songs about cycling. Oh yeah, we would ALL ride 8 days a week.”

In a double collaboration, the Australian brands have also teamed up on a second collection of equally eye-catching shoes, this time inspired by tattoos. Like their counterparts, they are also a redesign of Bont’s Vaypor 2023s based on Cycology’s existing Velo Tattoo collection. Even without knowing their name, you could probably guess where their inspiration comes from, which is testament to the design. What you may not have guessed so easily is that the shoes are, according to Cycology and Bont, "full of cycling wisdom, inspiration and motivation to remind us why we love to ride our bikes".

Built for more than just looks, the Vaypor shoes that the designs adorn are tailored solely towards performance and are “designed to deliver the absolute best in performance with a zero-compromise approach”.

This “zero-compromise approach” includes a complete carbon construction from hand-laid unidirectional carbon, a honeycomb fabric liner for ventilation and comfort, and a lightweight Japanese Durolite upper.

A complete package of style and performance comes with a price tag to match, with both shoes retailing for $649.95 AUD / £369.95. You can explore the Bont Vaypor Cycology 8 Days shoes here, or the Bont Vaypor Cycology Velo Tattoo here.
